Jim Stewart is the name to remember if you want to play tennis in Quinta do Lago.
Jim's tennis centre runs courses for adults and children, individual tution and can arrange matches for players of all abilities.
There is a relaxed ambience at the clubhouse which serves drinks and snacks.

Vale Do Lobo

Vale do Lobo has it's own tennis academy with an excellent reputation. In summer there are group courses for adults and children. Individual tuition is also available.
In August Vale do Lobo hosts the Grand Masters Championship which is a chance to see tennis stars such as Bjorn Borg, John McEnroe and Pat Cash in action.

Vale do Lobo is famous for it's golf courses. There are two courses within the resort, the Royal Course and the Ocean Course with the famous hole 16 which invites players to take a shot over the cliff tops by the ocean.
The golf courses are immaculately groomed and surrounded by pine trees.
Tuition and buggy hire can be arranged at reception in Vale do Lobo.

Vale do Lobo's central Praça is the perfect place for al fresco dining beside the ocean. It has a range of restaurants serving traditional portuguese seafood dishes, italian and oriental food. There is also a cafe serving a range of sandwiches and light meals.
From the Praça you can walk directly down onto the beach. In Summer there are a range of activities on offer pedalo hire, water ski ing, banana boat trips and for the truly adventurous parasailing.
The Praça is also the home of the Kangaroo Club which has activities for children of all ages and a mini golf course.
There is a great atmosphere at night and the restaurants are always busy with holidaymakers enjoying the warm Algarve evenings. Val do Lobo often provide live musical entertanment in the evenings.

Vilamoura boasts some of the best courses in the Algarve. It has five 18 hole courses, all of which have immaculate greens, luxurious clubhouses and professional tuition available.

Vilamoura has a tennis academy with a number of courts including mini courts for children, racquet rental, court hire and lessons can be booked. In addition to the courts there is a restaurant and a children´s play area.

Children are welcomed everywhere in the Algarve. Water Parks, Crazy Golf, Riding,Tennis and Soft Play are just some of the activities on offer.
One of our favourite venues is Vilamoura Tennis Centre, it is just a 5 minute stroll from the accommodation and in addition to mini courts for children to play on there is an enclosed play area. There are a number of outdoor play items such as slides, seesaw and a little house. The restaurant usually has a dish of the day and the facilities there are very good.

At the heart of Vilamoura is the Marina,where the luxury yachts are surrounded by shops, restaurants and bars. The Marina is also the place to book a range of excursions from Dolphin Safaris, deep sea fishing to Champagne Yacht Cruises.
If you are using a buggy or pram we find the easiest entrance with ramp is near to the Irish bar and next to the Italian restaurant where they serve nice salads, pizzas and ice creams.
There is a Zoomarine store on the Marina where you can book tickets with a transfer or buy gift items from the shop.
